Step 4 — Staff
The final required step of the onboarding wizard adds your team members. The step's hint: Add at least one staff member — shifts can't be created without it.
Fields
| Field | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Full name | Yes | The employee's name as it will appear in schedules and reports. |
| Position | No | One of the positions you created in Step 3. |
| Location | No | One or more of the locations from Step 2. |
| Phone | No | The employee's contact phone. |
| No | The employee's email address. | |
| Telegram | No | The employee's Telegram username — used later to deliver checklists. |
How to complete this step
- Press Add staff member.
- Enter the employee's Full name — the only required field.
- Optionally assign a Position and one or more Locations, and add Phone, Email, or Telegram.
- Repeat for each team member you want to add now.
- To delete an entry, use Remove next to it.
- Entries are saved as you go.
You must add at least one staff member. If the list is empty, the wizard shows Add at least one entry. and won't let you continue.
One person is enough to finish
You can add yourself or a single manager now and bring in the rest of the team later under Settings → Staff.
Connecting staff to Telegram
For an employee to receive checklists in Telegram, their account must be linked to the DailyMark bot. You don't have to do this during onboarding — the wizard only records the Telegram username.
The actual linking (a one-time invitation link or QR code that the employee opens and confirms with Start) is done afterwards in Settings → Staff. See Staff settings for the full step-by-step invitation flow.
Editing later
After onboarding, the team is managed under Settings → Staff, which adds more capabilities: vacations, the Telegram connection status for each person, and the invite/unlink flow.
Once you press Finish, setup is complete and the full app unlocks — see what happens after Finish.
